November 3rd Update:

The West Hartford-Bloomfield Health District is offering flu and COVID-19 booster shots to teachers and staff on Tuesday, Nov. 8, at the Carmen Arace Middle School nursing office. The shots will be administered from 1:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. 

For more information, or if scheduling a COVD-19 shot for children age five to 11, call 860-561-7900. Please bring your ID, insurance and COVID-19 vaccination cards to the clinic.




November 1st
 Update:

  As the holidays approach, two  reminders:

1.      Bloomfield High School’s football team has a pre-Thanksgiving, regular-season finale vs. neighboring Windsor. The game, billed as “Reviving the Rivalry”, will be Saturday, Nov. 19, 1 p.m. at BHS.

Important note: A large crowd is expected. Tickets - $5 for adults; $3 for students - will not be sold at the door and will only be made available online. 2.      The Blue Hills Fire Department, in collaboration with the Fraternal Order of Police and the Town of Bloomfield, wants to recognize Bloomfield educators (as a group) at its annual Bloomfield Holiday Lighted Christmas Parade - Dec. 3, 6 p.m. - in the center of town.

Parade organizers are honoring district educators for their outstanding work during the pandemic.

 Teachers, support staff, administrators, coaches, etc., interested in participating are asked to rsvp by  Tuesday, Nov. 15 to: Donna Banks, office manager at the Blue Hills Fire Department: [email protected] – or Matt Mace, assistant director of Bloomfield Leisure Services: [email protected]

 The parade starts at 6 p.m., at the corner of Barnard Lane and Bloomfield Avenue. Educators and other parade participants will assemble at 5:30 p.m. in the Barnard Lane parking lot. The parade route – about 1.1 miles and a 30-minute walk - will continue up Bloomfield Avenue to Tunxis Avenue; Tunxis Avenue (eastbound) to Wintonbury Avenue; to Jerome Avenue; Park Avenue and return to Barnard Lane.  The announcer's stage will be located in front of Town Hall.
